Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Radiological Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year x-ray technologist experience in a healthcare environment required.
• BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross required within first 90 days of employment.
• Licensed and/or certified if required by state regulations.
• EMR system experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Positions patient under X-ray machine, adjusts immobilization devices, and provides radiation protection.
• Performs radiographic exams ordered by physicians and ensures ALARA practices.
• Performs EKGs, phlebotomy and injections as part of patient care.
• Prepares reports and maintains records of services rendered.
• Maintains radiological film files, logs, and supplies; keeps x-ray referrals logs updated.
• Travels locally or regionally to cover multiple centers up to 30% of the time.
