Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Radiological Technology program is required.
• Minimum of 1 year x-ray technologist work experience; 2 years preferred.
• Licensed and/or certified if required by state regulations.
• BLS certification within first 90 days of employment is required.
• EMR system experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Position patient under the X-ray machine and ensure proper shielding and exposure control.
• Perform radiographic exams ordered by the physician.
• Maintain accurate reports and radiology logs; manage x-ray files for referrals.
• Adhere to ALARA principles to minimize radiation dose to patients.
• Assist physicians with procedures, EKGs, phlebotomy and injections.
