Job summary

ChenMed is expanding and seeking a qualified X-ray Technician. You will perform radiographic exams ordered by physicians, ensure proper positioning, and process images while adhering to ALARA principles to minimize dose.

The role involves patient care activities such as EKGs, phlebotomy, and injections, with documentation of services rendered. Ideal candidates have a Radiology program credential, 1–2 years of healthcare X-ray experience, and BLS certification within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Radiological Technology program is required.
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred.
• Minimum 1 year x-ray technologist experience in healthcare; 2 years preferred.
• Licensed/certified if required by state regulations.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Position patient and adjust exposure using X-ray equipment with proper radiation protection.
• Assist physicians with patient care activities including EKGs, phlebotomy and injections.
• Prepare reports and maintain radiology records and logs; manage X-ray referrals and copies.
• Maintain supplies, equipment and OSHA safety standards; document diligently.
• Other related duties as assigned.
