AVECINA - Butler Plaza, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a X-ray Technician / Medical Assistant to provides vital patient care and imaging services in a busy clinic. You will take vital signs, perform EKGs, administer IM injections, update charts in the EHR, and assist with check-in/check-out while maintaining records for in-house and sent-out lab work.

The role requires relevant certifications and education; a recent graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program is eligible.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is helpful.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
• Radiological Technologist (RT) or BMXO/BMO license required in state of residency.
• Current AAMA certification preferred.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain Breath Alcohol & Drug Screening certifications within 3 months.

Responsabilités

• Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
• Perform x-ray/imaging services per provider’s orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in the EHR.
• Apply splints, dressings and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and audit charts.
• Maintain records and logs for in-house lab work, drug screens, and outside labs.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.
