Job summary

MD Now Urgent Care in Florida is seeking a qualified X-ray Technician / Medical Assistant to join our team. You will provide patient care with vital signs, EKGs, injections, and imaging under provider orders.

Responsibilities include updating EHRs, preparing records, and assisting with check-in/out while maintaining lab and imaging documentation. Licensing, BLS, and screening certifications are required or pursued within set timeframes.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting
• Experience using an EHR system
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistants program (BOTP) or completion of approved program
• Radiological Technologist (RT) or BMXO/BMO license in state residency
• AAMA certification preferred
• BLS Certification within 30 days of start
• Breath Alcohol and Drug Screening Certifications within 3 months

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections
• Perform x-ray/imaging services per providers’ orders and update patient charts
• Collect patient history and document in the EHR
• Apply splints, dressings, and bandages as needed
• Assist with check-in/check-out and audit charts
• Maintain records and logs for in-house and sent-out lab work
• Inform patients and visitors about clinic progress
