Job summary

MD Now urgent care, affiliated with HCA Healthcare, seeks an X-ray Technician / Medical Assistant in Florida. You will take vital signs, perform imaging, document in the EHR, and assist with check-in/out. AAMA certification is preferred, with licensure in radiology and BLS within 30 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current AAMA certification preferred.
• RT or BMXO/BMO license in state of residency required.
• Current BLS certification within 30 days of start.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs and IM injections.
• Perform x-ray/imaging per provider orders and update charts.
• Collect patient history and document in the EHR.
• Apply splints, dressings and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and audit charts.
• Maintain records for in-house and sent-out lab work.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of progress.
