Job summary

MD Now is seeking a dedicated X-Ray Tech - Medical Assistant at our Florida urgent care location. The role combines imaging services with medical assisting duties to support patient care in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate will perform imaging per orders, manage EHR documentation, and assist with patient intake and flow while maintaining accuracy in records and compliance with certifications.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting.
• Experience using an EHR system.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistants program (BOTP).
• Radiological Technologist (RT) or BMXO/BMO license required in state of residency.
• Current AAMA certification preferred.
• Current BLS Certification within 30 days of start.
• Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
• Perform x-ray/imaging services per provider’s orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in EHR.
• Apply splints, dressings and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and audit charts.
• Maintain records/logs for in-house lab work and outside lab results.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.
