Job summary

Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin, IL is seeking a full-time Radiologic Technologist to operate x-ray equipment and produce diagnostic radiographs. The position is a 0.9 FTE (36 hours per week) with rotation between hospital and offsite locations, requiring weekend, holiday and call rotations.

May train and perform DEXA. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered along with comprehensive benefits through Advocate Health.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT certification or eligibility; must obtain within 1 year of hire.
• IEMA Accreditation in Radiologic Technology.

Responsibilities

• Operates x-ray equipment to produce radiographs as ordered.
• Document diagnostic procedures with proper parameters.
• Adheres to ALARA principles to minimize exposure.
• Ensure proper patient identification and comfort during exams.
• Review radiographs for quality and optimum results.
• Maintain RIS/HIS functions and equipment; troubleshoot issues.
• Demonstrate professionalism and teamwork with colleagues and patients.
