Job summary

Advocate Health in Illinois seeks a Radiologic Technologist to operate x-ray equipment, perform diagnostic exams, and ensure patient safety and comfort.

Requires weekend/holiday rotations, on-call ability, and ongoing CPR certification; graduates of accredited programs with ARRT certification or eligibility, IEMA accreditation, and state licensure are preferred. Sign-on bonus of $5,000 available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• IEMA Accreditation in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT (RT) Certification or Certificate Eligible; must be obtained within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray equipment to produce radiographs per physician orders.
• Maintain ALARA principles to minimize exposure.
• Ensure correct patient identification and collect pertinent history.
• Label radiographs per established criteria.
• Maintain equipment and radiographic quality standards.
• Provide professional patient care and teamwork.
• Attend in-services and CPR training to maintain certification.
• Maintain supplies and infection control; perform RIS/HIS duties.
