Qualifications

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology is required.
• CRT - Certified Radiologic Technologist current NYS licensure upon hire required; ARRT certification with CE credits upon hire required.
• Experience with radiology imaging and patient positioning is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares room and patient per order.
• Properly sets up equipment, positions patients, and determines exposure factors to produce high quality images.
• Verifies patient information in electronic systems and follows dual patient identifier procedures.
• Maintains supplies in X-ray rooms and ensures proper image transfer to PACS.
• Transports patients using assistive devices and assists with training or day-to-day supervision as needed.
