Job summary

The University of Rochester Imaging Sciences-General X-Ray team seeks a qualified Radiologic Technologist to produce high-quality X-ray images for inpatients. You will verify orders, position patients, and operate imaging equipment to support timely radiologist interpretation.

Responsibilities include adhering to safety standards, documenting studies, and potentially training new staff. The role requires formal radiologic technology training and current NYS licensure with ARRT CE credits.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an approved School of Radiologic Technology program.
• Current NYS licensure in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT certification with CE credits upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality X-ray images in an inpatient setting by conducting exams safely and efficiently.
• Verifies and follows referring providers' orders while adhering to departmental policies.
• Demonstrates sound knowledge of human anatomy and proper X-ray positioning; uses immobilization devices as needed.
• Receives training and supervision to perform required tasks proficiently.
• Performs general section studies safely and completes related paper and computer work for radiologist interpretation.
