Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Current NYS CRT licensure upon hire and ARRT certification with CE credits.
• Experience or training in radiology imaging and patient care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares room and patient per order.
• Sets up equipment, positions patients, and selects exposure factors for quality images.
• Verifies patient information and exam details in electronic systems.
• Follows Dual Patient Identifier procedures.
• Maintains supplies in X-ray rooms.
• Produces diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation.
• Transfers patients using assistive devices and ensures safe movement.
• Documents imaging and ensures images reach the PACS correctly.
• Completes and bills for studies accurately.
• May train new staff or lead day-to-day activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
