Job summary

Nikon Metrology is seeking an experienced X-ray Field Service Technician to install, maintain, repair and upgrade Nikon Metrology X-ray products across North America. The role requires extensive travel (80%+) with potential international travel and involves on-site customer support and remote troubleshooting.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting field failures, providing software training, testing and repairing parts, and assisting sales with trade-show setups.

Qualifications

• Must have ITAR access capability.
• 2+ years’ experience in a technical role or >4 years’ experience in a technical role.
• Experience on complex capital equipment with subsystems like vacuum, manipulators, HV, plus general mechanical and PCs.
• Ability to identify and fix issues down to a board level.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel 80%+ domestically with possible international travel.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot system failures/errors and perform corrective actions.
• Perform product maintenance and software training as necessary.
• Provide technical product services for Nikon Metrology X-ray products per SOPs.
• In-house testing and repairs of spare parts and systems.
• Support equipment at customer location or via telephone/email.
• Submit Timesheets, expense reports and service reports promptly.
• Submit radiation dosimetry data in line with company policy.
• Assist sales with setup/teardown of equipment for trade shows.
• Promote service contracts and other service offerings to customers.
• Maintain quality and professionalism in customer-facing work.
