Utah State University is seeking a diligent Writing Center Tutor at the Brigham City campus to assist students with writing projects, from brainstorming to editing, and to support community outreach through collaboration on grant applications and oral histories.
You will conduct in-person and Zoom consultations, mentor students from diverse backgrounds, and contribute to recruitment initiatives in local high schools, while coordinating with faculty to promote strong writing across disciplines.
This position also includes community outreach: tutors will work with community groups at the Brigham City campus on collaborative writing projects (e.g., grant applications and oral histories) and coordinate with faculty members on recruitment initiatives at local high schools, which may include classroom visits and presentations.
Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions.
$13/hr.
