Job summary

Lineville Health & Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated RN Wound Care / Treatment Nurse for a Monday–Friday Day Shift. This full-time role focuses on specialized wound care beyond a traditional floor assignment, offering meaningful resident interactions and collaboration with an interdisciplinary clinical team.

You will perform skin and wound assessments, provide treatments per orders, monitor healing, and document progress.

Qualifications

• Current Alabama Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Compassionate, resident-centered approach.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Wound care or treatment nursing experience preferred.
• Long-term care, rehabilitation, or hospital experience preferred.
• Wound care certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive skin and wound assessments.
• Provide wound treatments according to physician orders.
• Monitor wound healing and document progress.
• Conduct routine skin and wound rounds.
• Identify residents at risk for skin breakdown.
• Coordinate pressure injury prevention interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
• Participate in individualized wound care planning.
• Educate nurses and CNAs on skin integrity and wound prevention.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Support infection prevention and quality improvement initiatives.
• Promote resident comfort, dignity, and healing.
