Job summary

AMG Specialty Hospital - Northwest Indiana is seeking a Wound Care Technician to join our team. This full-time role supports doctors and nurses by cleaning wounds, changing dressings, and tracking patient healing under the supervision of licensed nurses or physicians.

Key duties include wound care, patient monitoring, and accurate documentation in electronic medical records, along with assisting the wound care team to educate patients and prepare them for care plans.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Certifications: CNA, MA, or EMT, plus CPR.

Responsibilities

• Wound Care: Clean wounds and apply prescribed dressings or bandages.
• Patient Monitoring: Record vital signs, take wound photos, and collect cultures.
• Documentation: Log healing progress and treatment notes in electronic medical records.
• Assistance: Turning, prepping, educating patients with the Wound Care Nurse.
