Job summary

Healogics is the leading provider of advanced wound care services in the United States, delivering care across 600+ sites. The RN will deliver direct patient care in the Wound Care Center, manage intake and discharge, and coordinate with physicians and case managers to ensure optimal outcomes for patients with chronic wounds.

The role includes potential HBO duties and involvement in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Current RN license in the state of practice – to be maintained throughout the duration of employment in the position
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Wound care certification preferred
• Wound care experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care to Wound Care Center patients and handles patient intake and discharge processes as assigned and according to the hospital and nursing standards.
• Assist in vein clinic as assigned after Healogics Vein Clinic training completed.
• May also serve as Case Manager to a group of patients as assigned.
• Perform initial nursing assessments, communicate findings with the physician, assess wound stage and measurements, document care plans, and monitor patient status.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, provide education to patients or caregivers, and serve as a patient advocate in care delivery.
• Perform HBO-related duties after hyperbaric training; may assume hyperbaric safety director duties after training.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers and directors regarding clinic and patient needs.
• May function as a Documentation Assistant (scribe) as per policy.
• Perform other duties as required.
