Job summary

Halifax Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Wound Care unit in Daytona Beach, FL. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for diverse patients, coordinating with LPNs, CNAs, and other staff.

The role requires Florida RN licensure, adherence to unit policies, ongoing professional development, and strong communication with patients and families. A BSN is preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position within a dynamic care team.

Qualifications

• RN – State of Florida licensure required.
• Degree from an accredited school of nursing, bachelor degree preferred.
• Completion of general and nursing orientation.
• Unit orientation and competency checklist completed.
• Professional communication with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Annual competency-based learning modules completed.
• Complies with safety and ethical guidelines in nursing care.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient on admission and ongoing basis.
• Plan and coordinate care based on patient status and needs.
• Document assessment data on admission and ongoing.
• Involve family in the plan of care as appropriate.
• Initiate individualized teaching to ensure outcomes and discharge.
• Administer medications according to policies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to achieve outcomes.
• Report to work as scheduled and maintain professional appearance.
• Protect patient confidentiality and adhere to legal/ethical guidelines.
• Support staff orientation and participate in quality initiatives.
