Job summary

Serenity Spring Senior Living at Scandia Village in Wisconsin is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) with wound care certification to oversee nursing operations and support sub-acute care and rehabilitation services. The role involves supervising nurses and aides, monitoring resident care, and coordinating with the Director of Nursing to implement improvements.

The ideal candidate will hold Wisconsin RN licensure, have at least one year of nursing experience in long-term care, and possess wound care

Qualifications

• RN nursing supervisor requires 1 year long-term care experience.
• WI Registered Nurse License is required.
• Nursing experience of 1 year or more is expected.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Director of Nurses and Assistants to implement recommended changes.
• Supervise nurses and aides for Long Term Care facility.
• Monitor resident care and report changes to the DON or ADON.
• Assess newly admitted or readmitted residents and document in the 24-hour report.
• Monitor MARs, nurses notes, incident reports and physician orders.
• Liaise between nursing staff and attending physicians; assess need for calls during and after hours.
• Ensure supplies and equipment are in place and functioning.

Responsibilities for Registered Nurse (RN):

• Work with the facility's Director of Nurses and Assistant and implement recommended changes as required

• Responsible to supervise nurses and aides for Long Term Care facility

• See residents and monitor resident care and report changes to the Director of Nursing (DON) or Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)

• Assess newly admitted or readmitted residents and document in the 24 - hour report. Follow up on residents as needed

• Monitor nursing staff to ensure proper documentation on MARs, nurses notes, accident/ incident reports, physician's orders and treatment records

• Liaison between nursing staff and attending physicians. Assess the necessity of calls to the physicians. Assess the necessity of calls to the physicians during off business hours

• Checks to see that all supplies are in proper place and all equipment is functioning
