Job summary

Serenity Spring Senior Living at Scandia Village in Wisconsin is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for full-time shifts from 2PM to 10:30PM and 10PM to 6:30AM. The facility provides sub-acute care, rehabilitation, and comprehensive nursing services.

You will supervise nurses and aides, assess residents, document care, coordinate with the Director of Nursing, and ensure quality documentation of MARs and orders. Requires WI RN license and at least 1 year in long-term care.

Qualifications

• RN nursing supervisor experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year in long-term care.
• Active Wisconsin RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work with Director of Nurses and Assistant to implement changes as required.
• Supervise nurses and aides for the long-term care facility.
• Assess and monitor residents and report changes to DON/ADON.
• Assess new admissions and document in 24-hour report; follow up as needed.
• Monitor MARs, nursing notes, incident reports, physician orders and treatment records.
• Liaise between nursing staff and physicians; determine when calls to physicians are necessary.
• Ensure supplies and equipment are in proper place and functioning.

Responsibilities for Registered Nurse (RN):

• Work with the facility's Director of Nurses and Assistant and implement recommended changes as required

• Responsible to supervise nurses and aides for Long Term Care facility

• See residents and monitor resident care and report changes to the Director of Nursing (DON) or Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)

• Assess newly admitted or readmitted residents and document in the 24 - hour report. Follow up on residents as needed

• Monitor nursing staff to ensure proper documentation on MARs, nurses notes, accident/ incident reports, physician's orders and treatment records

• Liaison between nursing staff and attending physicians. Assess the necessity of calls to the physicians. Assess the necessity of calls to the physicians during off business hours

• Checks to see that all supplies are in proper place and all equipment is functioning
