Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a Wound Program Coordinator to oversee and develop wound care services, ensuring regulatory adherence and physician orders. You will collaborate with clinical teams to guide treatments and lead hospital-wide wound care education initiatives.

You will educate patients, families, and staff, stay current with the latest wound care techniques, and maintain ongoing professional development in a compassionate, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• RN or PT/OT licensure required for acute rehab hospitals; RN required for long-term acute care hospitals.
• CPR certification is mandatory.
• Minimum one year of wound care experience is required.
• Continuous education in wound care through seminars and professional organizations is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and develop wound care services in adherence to regulatory standards and physician orders.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to provide guidance on wound care treatments.
• Lead educational efforts for hospital staff on wound care topics, as well as educating patients and families on wounds and wound care.
• Maintain continuous education and stay updated on the latest wound care techniques and advancements.
