Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a Wound Program Coordinator to oversee wound care services, develop protocols, and collaborate with clinical teams to improve patient outcomes in our inpatient rehabilitation facilities.

You will educate patients and families, lead staff training on wound care practices, stay current with new techniques, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards across the hospital. This role also offers opportunities for professional growth and serving communities close to home.

Qualifications

• RN/ PT/ OT license required for acute rehab hospitals; RN required for long-term acute care hospitals.
• CPR certification is mandatory.
• Minimum one year of wound care experience is required.
• Continuous education in wound care through seminars/professional organizations is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and develop wound care services in adherence to regulatory standards and physician orders.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to provide guidance on wound care treatments.
• Lead educational efforts for hospital staff on wound care topics, as well as educating patient and family members on wounds and wound care.
• Maintain continuous education and stay updated on the latest wound care techniques and advancements.
