Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a Wound Program Coordinator to oversee wound care services, collaborate with clinical teams, and educate patients, families, and staff. This role emphasizes evidence-based care and regulatory compliance within a hospital setting.

You will lead wound care education initiatives, stay current with advancements, and contribute to overall patient outcomes as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• RN/PT/OT license required for acute rehab hospitals; RN required for long-term acute care hospitals.
• CPR certification is mandatory.
• Minimum one year of wound care experience; ongoing education in wound care encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and develop wound care services in adherence to regulatory standards and physician orders.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to provide guidance on wound care treatments.
• Lead educational efforts for hospital staff on wound care topics and educate patients and families.
• Maintain ongoing education and stay updated on latest wound care techniques and advancements.
