Job summary

AMG Specialty Hospital-Albuquerque seeks a PRN Wound Care Nurse (RN) for weekend shifts. You will evaluate wounds, provide direct and indirect patient care in a long-term acute care setting, and communicate changes in patient condition with physicians and the care team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Active RN licensure in New Mexico.
• ACLS/BLS certifications preferred.
• Wound care certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new and existing in/out patients' wounds and monitor and treat per policy.
• Provide direct and indirect patient care in a long-term acute care setting.
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physicians and care team.
• Perform general nursing duties with adequate supervision.

who evaluates new and existing in/out patient’swound and monitors and treats the wound as per treatment policies andprocedures. Provide direct and indirectpatient care in the long-term acute care setting. Communicate with physicians/CCO/co-workers,as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition including resultsof diagnostic studies and symptomatology.Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient’s condition orresponse to treatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequatesupervision.

Job Requirements

• Graduate of anaccredited school of nursing.
• Current RegisteredNurse Licensure for the State of New Mexico.
• Acute careexperience is preferred.
• Current certification of Wound Care preferred.

• Able tocommunicate effectively and positively in English, both verbally and inwriting.
