Job summary

AMG Specialty Hospital-Albuquerque is seeking a PRN Wound Care Nurse (RN) for weekend shifts to evaluate and treat wounds and provide direct and indirect patient care in a long-term acute care setting. You will communicate with physicians and co-workers about changes in patient status and respond quickly to clinical developments, ensuring safe, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse Licensure for the State of New Mexico.
• Acute care experience preferred.
• Current certification of Wound Care preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Able to communicate effectively and positively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the long-term acute care setting.
• Evaluate and monitor patient wounds and apply treatment per policies and procedures.
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physicians, CCO, and co-workers.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
