Job summary

AMG Specialty Hospital – Albuquerque is seeking a PRN Wound Care Nurse (RN) for weekend shifts to evaluate wounds, monitor treatment, and provide direct and indirect patient care in a long-term acute care setting. You will communicate with physicians and the care team about changes in patient condition and respond quickly to treatment responses.

Graduate of an accredited nursing program with NM RN licensure is required; acute care experience and Wound Care certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse Licensure for the State of New Mexico.
• Acute care experience preferred.
• Current Wound Care certification preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Able to communicate effectively and positively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new and existing wounds and monitor treatment per policies.
• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the long-term acute care setting.
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physicians and care team.
• Perform general nursing duties with supervision as needed.
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition or treatment response.

AMG Specialty Hospital –Albuquerque seeks a PRN Wound Care Nurse (RN) for Weekend Shifts who evaluates new and existing in/out patient’s wound and monitors and treats the wound as per treatment policies and procedures. Provide direct and indirect patient care in the long-term acute care setting. Communicate with physicians/CCO/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient’s condition or response to treatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.
