Job summary

AMG Specialty Hospital - Albuquerque seeks a PRN Wound Care Nurse (RN) for weekend shifts to evaluate and treat wounds in the long-term acute care setting.

The nurse will communicate with physicians and the care team, monitor patient conditions, and perform general nursing duties with supervision as required. Excellent English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse Licensure for the State of New Mexico.
• Acute care experience preferred.
• Current certification of Wound Care preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Able to communicate effectively and positively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates new and existing in/out patient wounds and monitors and treats as per policies.
• Communicate with physicians and care team about changes in patient condition and diagnostic results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
• Perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.

AMG Specialty Hospital - Albuquerque seeks a PRN Wound Care Nurse (RN) for Weekend Shifts who evaluates new and existing in/out patient’s wound and monitors and treats the wound as per treatment policies and procedures. Provide direct and indirect patient care in the long-term acute care setting. Communicate with physicians/CCO/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient’s condition or response to treatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.
