Job summary

AMG Specialty Hospital - Albuquerque is seeking a PRN Wound Care Nurse (RN) for weekend shifts to evaluate and treat wounds in a long-term acute care setting. You will provide direct and indirect patient care and communicate with physicians and the care team about changes in a patient’s condition.

Quick and accurate responses to changes are essential, and general nursing duties may be required with supervision. Required: graduate of an accredited nursing program with NM RN licensure.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN licensure in New Mexico.
• Acute care experience preferred.
• Current wound care certification preferred.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the long-term acute care setting.
• Communicate with physicians and care team about changes in patient condition.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response.
• Perform general nursing duties in all departments with supervision.

AMG Specialty Hospital - Albuquerque seeks a PRN Wound Care Nurse (RN) for Weekend Shifts who evaluates new and existing in/out patient’s wound and monitors and treats the wound as per treatment policies and procedures. Provide direct and indirect patient care in the long-term acute care setting. Communicate with physicians/CCO/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient’s condition or response to treatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.

Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse Licensure for the State of New Mexico.
• Acute care experience is preferred.
• Current certification of Wound Care preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Able to communicate effectively and positively in English, both verbally and in writing.
