Job summary

A healthcare provider in Albuquerque is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join the team. As an RN, you will be responsible for managing patient care for individuals with complex medical needs in a long-term acute care setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in acute care, effective communication skills, and current nursing licensure for New Mexico. Shift differentials are available for night and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Current BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Effective communication in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Acute care experience is preferred.

Overview

Registered Nurse (RN) role at Acadiana Management Group (AMG) Specialty Hospital – Albuquerque. AMG Specialty Hospital – Albuquerque is part of the AMG Integrated Healthcare Management Hospital System, a Top-5 Post-Acute Care Hospital System. Responsibilities

• Communicate with physicians, CCO/co-workers about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
• Perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.
• Care for patients with conditions such as respiratory failure requiring ventilation, vapotherm, high flow, bipap, cpap, and nasal cannula; may require sedation/pain management, pressor management, and cardiac/anti-arrhythmic management.
• Manage complex infections requiring long-term IV antibiotics; chronic non-healing wounds with wound vacs and frequent dressing changes.
• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the long-term acute care setting.
