Job summary

Central Desert Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking a dedicated Wound Care Nurse to assess and treat patients with complex wounds, ostomies, and continence issues while collaborating with the nursing team to develop comprehensive care plans.

Your role involves hands-on wound management, staff education, and data collection to support patient outcomes. Licensure as an LPN and 1–2 years of wound care experience are required, with WOCN preferred and long-term care experience valued.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed LPN in good standing with the state.
• 1-2 years wound care experience required.
• Wound Care Certification (WOCN) preferred.
• 1+ years of long term care experience preferred.
• Reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation and direct assistance in the management of patients with altered skin integrity (pressure necrosis, wounds, fistulas, etc).
• Offer in-service programs as needed to assist nursing, rehabilitation and medical staff to maintain knowledge and competence in wound care.
• Collect, analyze and document information and statistics related to wounds in the facility, as well as perform clinical evaluations for potential wound admissions.

Position Summary

The Wound Care Nurse works in harmony with the nursing staff assessing, treating, and creating care plans for patients with complex wounds, ostomies, and/or continence conditions. If you are a Wound Care Nurse with a true passion for patient care and compassion for others and a commitment to teamwork.

Posted Salary Range

USD $27.50 - USD $34.00 /Hr.

Wage Commensuration

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
