The Wound Care Nurse at Centraldesertbh works with nursing staff to assess, treat, and create care plans for patients with complex wounds, ostomies and continence issues in Las Vegas. The role emphasizes compassionate patient care and teamwork in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• Licensed LPN in good standing with the state.
• 1-2 years wound care experience required.
• WOCN certification preferred.
• 1+ years long term care experience preferred.
• Reliable transportation required.

• Collect, analyze and document wound data and perform clinical evaluations for admissions.

Position Summary

The Wound Care Nurse works in harmony with the nursing staff assessing, treating, and creating care plans for patients with complex wounds, ostomies, and/or continence conditions. If you are a Wound Care Nurse with a true passion for patient care and compassion for others and a commitment to teamwork.

Posted Salary Range

USD $27.50 - USD $34.00 /Hr.

Wage Commensuration

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide consultation and direct assistance in the management of patients with altered skin integrity (pressure necrosis, wounds, fistulas, etc).
• Offer in-service programs as needed to assist nursing, rehabilitation and medical staff to maintain knowledge and competence in wound care.
• Collect, analyze and document information and statistics related to wounds in the facility, as well as perform clinical evaluations for potential wound admissions.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must be a licensed LPN in good standing with the state (as required)
• 1-2 years wound care experience required
• Wound Care Certification (WOCN) preferred
• 1+ years of long term care experience preferred
• Reliable transportation required
