Job summary

AMG Specialty Hospital – Central Indiana (Muncie Campus) is seeking a High-Acuity Wound Care Nurse (RN) to join our LTAC unit located inside IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. This is a full-time day shift position.

The role delivers advanced wound care, collaborates with physicians, and supports patient outcomes in a high-acuity environment. Indiana RN license, BLS/ACLS, wound care experience preferred; WCC a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Active Indiana RN license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Preferred: Wound Care Certification (WCC).
• Experience in high-acuity wound care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

AMG Specialty Hospital is a boutique Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) facility. We provide exceptional, high-acuity care to a small, focused subset of patients requiring extended ICU stays, ventilator support, vasopressors, or advanced wound management. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced wound care.
• Assess, plan, and evaluate patient’s wounds and monitors and treats wounds per treatment plans.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, and leadership to drive positive patient outcomes.
• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensure: Active, unencumbered Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Certifications: Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Preferred Certification: Wound Care Certification (WCC)
• Experience: Prior wound care nursing experience in a high-acuity setting (e.g., ICU, Step-down, CCU, or high-acuity LTAC) is highly preferred. Willing to train self-motivated RNs passionate about wounds and critical care.
• Skills: Strong clinical assessment capabilities; professional fluency in verbal and written English.
