CareMed Health Solutions is seeking a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to provide wound services for residents of long-term care facilities. You will prescribe medications, including controlled substances as allowed by WA law, order and review treatments, and coordinate with nursing home staff and the primary care physician to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Ideal candidates hold an unrestricted WA NP license with board certification and wound care experience in geriatric settings; demonstate

Qualificações

Unrestricted NP license in WA
Board Certification in NP
DEA licensure (optional)
Clinical background in adult/family/geriatric
Wound care experience with chronic/infected wounds
Comfort diagnosing/treating diabetic, arterial, venous wounds and Kennedy ulcers
Ability to stage pressure injuries per NPIAP
Familiar with wound care products (collagens, alginates, foams, silvers)
Experience with wound VACs and DME
Willingness to pursue wound certification
Experience in long-term care settings
Ability to work with an EMR
Ability to collaborate in an interdisciplinary team

Responsabilidades

Provide wound care services for long-term care patients in skilled nursing facilities.
Prescribe medications, including controlled substances per WA law.
Order, review, and follow up on treatments and diagnostic tests.
Communicate with nursing home staff about changes in condition and care plan.
Collaborate with the primary care physician to coordinate care.
