Job summary

Carteret-Health-Care is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to work in an outpatient hyperbaric and wound care clinic. You will perform direct patient care, wound cleaning, dressing changes and may supervise unlicensed personnel to maintain smooth clinic flow and operations.

The role emphasizes meeting performance indicators, quality improvements, and conducting clinical documentation audits under the direction of the provider, with development of nursing care plans for assigned patients.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in North Carolina.
• Minimum of one year nursing experience. Direct patient wound care experience in a clinical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide wound care including wound cleaning, dressing changes, wraps, casts, etc.
• Assist in supervising unlicensed assistive personnel during patient care.
• Help meet key performance indicators, quality improvement, and clinical documentation audits.
• Under provider direction, implement a nursing care plan for assigned patients.
