Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks a local leader to oversee a wound, skin, ostomy, and hyperbaric shared service across inpatient and outpatient locations. You will drive budget development, quality initiatives, and staff development while ensuring high-value patient care.

The role collaborates with care-site and enterprise leadership to execute department strategies, monitor performance, and maintain regulatory readiness in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or leadership equivalent experience.
• Experience in budget management.
• Ability to develop strong team dynamics in customer-based environments.
• Bachelor's degree in medical field or healthcare administration obtained through an accredited institution. Education is verified.
• Able to work in a compressed gas environment.
• Current clinical license or compact license with the ability to obtain license to work in the state of employment (if applicable).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers (if applicable).
• Experience working in wound care, ostomy, and hyperbaric medicine.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate performance and compliance with patient safety initiatives and regulatory bodies.
• Collaborate with provider leadership to develop and implement department strategies that align with Enterprise, Region, Caresite and Shared Services.
• Lead the achievement of goals and implement action plans to improve performance.
• Demonstrate cost-effective use of resources by taking appropriate action to meet the department financial performance goals.
• Work with Shared Service and Caresite leadership to develop and submit operating and capital budget requests.
• Participate in interdisciplinary committees throughout the organization.
• Create a culture for caregivers that supports efficient, safe, effective, and compassionate care.
• Holds caregivers accountable for outcomes using patient satisfaction metrics, national benchmarks and other resources.
• Serves as a liaison for providers in the department and medical group leadership.
• Manages the department human resources including hiring, performance reviews, staff development/education, retention, conflict resolution, corrective actions, and terminations.
• Responsible for ensuring documentation and maintenance of caregiver competency and necessary training.
• Provide communication to caregivers and providers through rounding, huddles, staff meetings and other forms of communication.
• Resolves customer service concerns.
• Ensures facility is in good working order and that equipment is functioning properly.
