Job summary

MultiCare Health System in Tacoma, WA is seeking a Part-time Front Desk Specialist for Wound Healing. You will perform reception, patient scheduling, registration, referral coordination, insurance verification and basic billing tasks, acting as the first contact for patients and visitors of the Wound Center.

The role requires strong customer service, a high school diploma, clerical experience, and familiarity with insurance processes.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Two (2) years previous clerical experience.
• One (1) year of experience working with insurance company, referrals or patient access matters.
• Experience with CPT and ICD-10 coding, preferred.
• Vocational training in medical front office desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide reception, patient scheduling and registration duties for the Wound Healing Center.
• Coordinate referrals and verify insurance information.
• Assist with billing tasks including charge entry and payments posting; balance batches and cash reconciliation.
