Job summary

Healogics, the largest provider of advanced wound care in the United States, seeks a Patient Navigator for a busy outpatient wound care center. You will greet patients, manage scheduling, verify insurance, enter charges, and coordinate with hospital staff to ensure smooth operations.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma, 2+ years of office administration experience in a medical setting, strong communication and organizational skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED; Associate degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2+ years office administration experience, preferably in a medical setting.
  • Prior medical coding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Center leadership to maximize daily patient census.
  • Greets patients and visitors, answers and routes calls to appropriate staff.
  • Maintains patient communication needs including scheduling, rescheduling, and appointment reminders.
  • Obtains and verifies patient insurance information, including pre-certifications and pre-authorizations.
  • Collects and enters patient charges in databases, and reconciles charges as directed.
  • Assembles new patient charts and maintains existing charts; coordinates testing with hospital departments.
  • Arranges for patient transportation and maintains office equipment and supplies.
