Job summary

Healogics is seeking a Patient Navigator to support a busy outpatient wound care center. You will manage front office duties, greet patients, schedule visits, verify insurance, and coordinate tests while ensuring accurate data entry and documentation.

This role emphasizes confidentiality and teamwork in a fast-paced setting. Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma or GED, with 2+ years of office administration experience in healthcare; medical coding experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum two years of office administration experience, preferably in medical setting.
• Prior medical coding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with center leadership to maximize daily patient census.
• Greet patients and visitors, route calls to staff and schedule appointments.
• Maintain patient communication: scheduling, rescheduling and reminders.
• Obtain and verify insurance information, pre-certifications and pre-authorizations.
• Enter data and patient charges in databases; verify and reconcile charges.
• Assemble and file patient charts; ensure data completeness and signatures.
• Coordinate ancillary testing with hospital departments; arrange transport as needed.
• Maintain office equipment and medical supplies; perform other duties.
