Job summary

Linn-Benton Community College is seeking a part-time [WorkStudy] Co-curricular Program Assistant at the Albany campus. You will perform clerical tasks and support co-curricular activities, engaging with students and college staff.

Responsibilities include document processing, travel support, and aiding with outreach and meetings. Eligible applicants must meet LBCC Work Study requirements and maintain enrollment with a 2.0+ GPA and appropriate financial aid.

Qualifications

• Enrollment: must be enrolled in at least 6 credits at LBCC and maintain SAP.
• Cumulative GPA 2.0 or better required; some positions may require a higher GPA.
• Financial aid must be in place to be eligible for Work Study.

This posting is for a Federal Work Study position. To be eligible for WorkStudy positions you must maintain enrollment in at least six (6) credits at LBCC , maintain satisfactory academic progress throughout each term and maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or better (some positions may require a higher GPA ), and have financial aid in place.

Gain experience working with members of the college and the community! In this position you will support co-curricular advisors by doing clerical work and student engagement for co-curricular activities.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Learned physical skill is required to perform keyboarding functions and use of office equipment.
• Occasional lifting, guiding, or carrying of lightweight materials or equipment may be required.
• Sitting for extended periods while working at a computer terminal. Student workers must be able to communicate effectively one-on-one and as a collective team.

Education and Experience

• Must maintain enrollment in at least 6 credits at LBCC , maintain satisfactory academic progress throughout each term and maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or better, and have financial aid to be eligible to work in a Work Study student employee capacity at Linn-Benton Community College.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Student workers must have patience with customers and carry friendliness to visitors. Student workers must pay attention to detail, ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
• Must have the ability to carry out the duties of the position under supervision of your supervisor. Must be able to work within a team and promote harmonious working relationships. Must be able to interact with customers in a manner which reflects positively on the department. Must be able to work respectfully with individuals of all cultures, backgrounds, perspectives, and abilities
• Basic document editing skills and basic spreadsheet skills preferred
