Job summary

Google is seeking a North San Jose Workplace Service Manager to provide operational oversight for a dynamic campus. You will lead facility operations and connect REWS resources to deliver exceptional workplace experiences, partnering with stakeholders to solve complex challenges.

You will drive innovation, efficiency and service improvements, build trust, and ensure REWS delivers environments that support Google's culture and world-class operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in corporate real estate and workplace, including facilities operations, design development and project management of corporate real estate assets.
  • Experience managing and maintaining process cooling water systems, chillers, cooling towers, CRAC units, Rear Door Hx, In Row Coolers, Fan Coil units, cooling distribution units, power distribution units, process exhaust fans, RTU.
  • Experience managing extended workforce service provider models.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the lab subject matter expert to align infrastructure with operational capacity, leading projects to on-time and on-budget delivery while driving stakeholder consensus.
  • Serve as the single point of accountability for daily Bay Area campus operations, managing third-party IFM suppliers to ensure high-standard service execution.
  • Partner with peers, Centers of Excellence, and internal teams to implement consistent best practices and initiatives.
  • Deliver proactive customer service to building occupants by translating business needs into high-quality workplace environments and cohesive service experiences.
  • Advocate an "AI-first" mindset by implementing enterprise tools and AI agents to cultivate a future-ready workforce.

Job description

Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in corporate real estate and workplace, including facilities operations, design development and project management of corporate real estate assets.
  • Experience managing and maintaining process cooling water systems, chillers, cooling towers, CRAC units, Rear Door Hx, In Row Coolers, Fan Coil units, cooling distribution units, power distribution units, process exhaust fans, RTU.
  • Experience managing extended workforce service provider models.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience managing critical lab operations and complex infrastructure systems (e.g., power, HVAC/cooling, environmental controls, and process systems) while maintaining high availability and minimizing downtime.
  • Track record of critical operations and incident response management, including leading triage, root cause analysis, business continuity, and recovery planning for operational disruptions using strong cross-functional coordination aligning internal stakeholders, facilities partners, and external vendor teams.
  • Ability to think 'out of the box' and bring creative, nonstandard, and innovative solutions to the table.
  • Excellent communication and people management skills, with strong capability presenting both verbally and through slides.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $128000 - $187000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
