Job summary

Amazon in Washington State is seeking a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist to lead safety programs, conduct audits, investigations, and risk assessments at Airway Heights facilities. You will train associates, promote a proactive safety culture, and partner with leadership to drive safety improvements.

You will act as a safety champion, ensure compliance with OSHA standards, and support emergency response while handling confidential information with discretion.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) field or a Bachelor’s degree in EHS-related background or 6 months safety role experience within Amazon
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations (29 CFR 1910)
• Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional capacity
• Experience maintaining confidentiality in matters involving security or personnel issues
• Strong communication, teamwork, analysis, judgment, and customer focus skills
• Experience leading and managing a team and analyzing accident data for safety improvements
• First Aid and CPR certificates or willingness to obtain within 3 weeks of start date
