Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist (WHSS) to drive safety programs, conduct audits, and lead risk assessments. You’ll train associates and collaborate with leadership to promote a proactive safety culture across sites.

Flexibility with shifts and a focus on real-world safety improvements are essential. Ideal candidates will have OSHA knowledge, strong communication, and at least 1 year in EHS or a related field, with a background in safety analytics and emergency response.

Qualifications

• First Aid/CPR certification required or obtained within 3 weeks of start
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations 29 CFR 1910
• Experience using MS Word and Excel
• Strong communication, teamwork and analytical skills
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in safety-related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead safety audits, incident investigations and risk assessments.
• Deliver safety training and promote a proactive safety culture.
• Advise associates and leadership to drive safety best practices and compliance.
