Job summary

GSA is seeking an Employee Relations Investigator in the Workforce Relations Center, OHRM, to conduct workplace investigations and address employee relations and HR compliance matters.

Position may be filled in multiple locations; this vacancy supports ongoing investigations, reporting, and compliance across the agency. Strong interviewing, evidence analysis, and report-writing skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience investigating administrative matters concerning misconduct, harassment, or policy violations; focus on legality and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to develop interview questions, interview witnesses, gather and analyze evidence, and produce legally sufficient reports.
• Experience collaborating with stakeholders across HR to drive investigations and improvement actions.

Responsibilities

• Oversees complex investigations, providing expert guidance to HR and managers.
• Leads investigations of misconduct including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and policy violations.
• Offers expert advice on complex employee relations matters and recommends actions consistent with laws and policies.
• Generates regular reports highlighting findings, trends, and areas for process improvement.
• Conducts on-site interviews, reviews documents, and prepares comprehensive written investigation reports.
