Job summary

State of Washington's Department of Social and Health Services is seeking an Employee Relations Unit Investigator to join the Human Resources Division within the Office of the Secretary. You will conduct complex and routine workplace investigations, provide expert guidance to leadership, and ensure compliance with laws, policies, and collective bargaining agreements.

You will lead investigations involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other misconduct.

Qualifications

• At least seven years of paid professional experience providing human resources consultation and/or managing HR staff.
• Equivalent education and/or experience may be substituted for the years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct routine and complex workplace investigations into policy violations, discrimination and harassment.
• Prepare clear, concise investigative reports outlining facts and analysis to support fair, compliant decisions.
• Maintain confidential data and records; provide analysis to determine corrective actions and risk mitigation.
• Provide training and guidance to programs and HRD partners; promote consistent investigation practices.
