Center For Urban Families in Baltimore, MD is seeking a STRIVE Trainer to deliver CFUF/STRIVE curricula to enrollees, helping participants acquire professional skills, resume development, interview techniques, and essential workplace literacy to meet labor market needs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 5–7 years of training/teaching experience.
Proven experience working with diverse populations.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Self-starter who can work autonomously.
Commitment to CFUF’s values and mission regarding urban families.

Responsibilities

Conduct monthly soft skills training for classes of 20–45 members, focusing on personal and professional development.
Present information using role-playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, and lectures.
Evaluate participant progress and provide client assessments and recommendations.
Prepare and maintain accurate client files and case notes in CFUF database.
Assist members in developing employment plans using career assessment tools.
Meet training requirements set by grants, contracts, MOU stipulations, and STRIVE National.
Remain up to date on workplace trends and assess digital literacy for employment readiness.
Record time and DHS, SNAP E&T activities and efforts.
Make referrals to additional services as deemed appropriate.
Assist employment specialists in identifying employment opportunities.
