Job summary

STRIVE Houston seeks a results-oriented Program Director to lead the Career Path program expansion and ensure sustainability. You will oversee a diverse team, drive performance analytics, and cultivate partnerships with workforce boards, funders, and service providers.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 5+ years in workforce development, and proven leadership. You will report to the Executive Director and help STRIVE meet contract obligations while advancing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years in workforce development or sector-based training.
• Strong leadership and management skills; ability to motivate staff and drive results.
• Familiarity with career-focused education and workforce development programs.
• Experience in a start-up environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hire, supervise, and support a diverse, high-performing program team to achieve outcomes.
• Cultivate relationships with workforce boards, funders, and referral sources.
• Develop and manage STRIVE Houston’s career pathway program.
• Build partnerships with community organizations delivering supportive services.
• Research labor market data and identify training providers to meet goals.
• Develop MOUs and contracts with partners/vendors.
• Oversee program flow, systems, and reporting; ensure contractual obligations are met.
