Job summary

Center For Urban Families (CFUF) is seeking a Business Services Representative to build employer partnerships and support workforce development for CFUF members in the Baltimore region. The role focuses on creating opportunities, coordinating with internal teams, and guiding members through resume building, interviews, and job search activities.

You will attend job fairs, identify trends, and document all placements while collaborating with Mobility Coaches to enhance outcomes and retention.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain employer relationships for CFUF member placements
• Coordinate across departments to place candidates into employment
• Prepare CFUF participants with resumes and interview skills
• Coach CFUF members one-on-one on employability and job retention
• Attend job fairs and employer engagement events
• Identify employment trends to find best opportunities for members
• Document placements and interactions; field with partners or Mobility Coaches
• Engage with employer partners in the Baltimore Metropolitan area to open openings
• Organize monthly mock interviews with employer partners
• Create job leads and match CFUF members to roles
• Meet monthly targets for leads, placements, and replacements
• Maintain engagement with employer partners through the hiring process
• Keep CFUF database updated with placements and retention activities
• Identify upward mobility opportunities within partner companies
• Build relationships with private, local, state, and federal workforce agencies
• Coordinate quarterly employer partner convenings to evaluate partnerships
• Assist in developing an Employer Advisory Board
• Monitor labor market trends and their impact on workforce development
• Coordinate job fairs, site visits, and job shadowing with employer partners
• Create apprenticeship pipelines for CFUF members
• Plan annual employer appreciation events
• Participate in team reviews and strategy development for CFUF placements
