Job summary

Harford County Public Schools seeks a paraeducator for the Strive Program at Roye-Williams Elementary School to support instructional staff and students.

The role involves working under teachers to implement lessons, assist with assessments, and support students with disabilities, including personal care and behavior interventions as needed. Ten-month schedule with opportunity for stipend-based incentives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with additional college credits or certification options.
• Paraprofessional qualifications may be demonstrated by ParaPro, ParaPathways, or Foundations of Classroom Support credentials.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work with students with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with instruction for students individually or in small groups.
• Support with data collection, testing, and student assessment.
• Assist in implementing IEP/IFSP under teacher direction.
• Help with personal care needs and behavior interventions as required.
• Prepare instructional materials and support school-wide duties.
