Job summary

Fedcap Group, through Families Forward in Houlton, ME, seeks an Education and Training Instructor to deliver Power of Possible and Life Skills workshops that prepare participants for work and career success. The role involves engaging sessions, clear expectations, and ongoing progress tracking to support steps into work experiences and training programs.

The instructor uses structured, outcome-driven methods, supports English language learners, and ensures attendance and activity completion

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, human services, workforce development, or related field.
• Two years’ experience in adult education, workshop facilitation, or workforce development coaching.
• Experience working with individuals facing barriers to employment strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver POP and Life Skills workshops as scheduled.
• Facilitate ESOL ENGEN classroom sessions and support language learning.
• Lead engaging, high-energy sessions and set clear expectations for participation.
• Maintain a structured classroom environment and prepare materials in advance.
• Assess participant readiness for work and progression into program activities.
