Job summary

Families Forward, a member of The Fedcap Group, seeks an Education and Training Instructor to deliver Power of Possible and Life Skills workshops for job readiness at the Fort Kent center. This role focuses on engaging participants, guiding progress from foundational concepts to practical application, and advancing toward work-based opportunities.

The instructor leads energetic sessions, maintains high standards, and supports diverse learners with structured approaches and real-world practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, human services, workforce development, or related field preferred.
• Two years’ experience in adult education, workshop facilitation, or workforce development coaching.
• Experience working with individuals facing barriers to employment is strongly preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Power of Possible (POP) and Life Skills workshops as scheduled, ensuring consistency and adherence to curriculum.
• Facilitate ESOL ENGEN classroom sessions with language immersion exercises and progress tracking.
• Lead engaging, high-energy sessions and set clear expectations for participation and accountability.
• Prepare materials and technology in advance to ensure effective workshop delivery.
• Track attendance, engagement, and participant progress in FedcapCARES and maintain audit-ready documentation.
• Collaborate with Career Advisors and Placement Specialists to align training with next steps.
